Barbara Ehrenreich

Barbara Ehrenreich is a contributing editor of The Baffler. Her newest book is Natural Causes: An Epidemic of Wellness, the Certainty of Dying, and Killing Ourselves to Live Longer. She is an investigative journalist, essayist, and activist, and is the author of twenty-one books, including Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America and her memoir, Living with a Wild God: A Nonbeliever’s Search for the Truth about Everything. With the Institute for Policy Studies, she launched an Economic Hardship Reporting Project in order to force this country’s crisis of poverty and economic insecurity to the center of the national conversation. She was born in a mining town in Montana and now lives in Virginia.
