• While the beginning of the school year has been postponed in Ferguson, Missouri because of ongoing protests there, classes are cancelled today and until further notice in Millville, Pennsylvania because all the teachers have gone on strike. According to WNEP-16, the teachers have been working without a contract since 2012.

The local news station responsibly represented both sides of the issue after some interviews with kids: “I’d like to play soccer, so I really don’t want the strike to go on because sports might not be able to be played,” said one student. “I think that it’s important that the teachers get the proper recognition that they need and that an agreement is come to,” said another.
