What’s next for Eric Cantor? After his surprise primary loss last week, we asked for your best guesses for #CantorsNextGig on Twitter and Facebook. The best or closest answer we get will win a free subscription to The Baffler. The only hint we’ve gotten so far from Cantor is that he “would not rule out becoming a lobbyist or running for office again in the future.” We’ll run the contest until he announces where he’s headed, or until we get tired of it. But until then, here are some favorites and front-runners:

From the entries on our Facebook page:

• “Rainmaker at law firm or lobby shop.” – Travis Logan

• “Keeps House master keys, shows up for work anyway during next Congressional session. He’s such a nice, helpful, caring guy, everyone is OK with that.” – Josh Ronsen

• “Throwback DC hardcore 7” record “Young Guns” about his days at GW ft. Fred Armisen and Dave Grohl (as Crisis of Conformity) – Maureen Miller

• “Dancing with the Stars. Maybe teamed up with Kristin Chenowith.” – Richard Byrne

• “He says some big-tent things, trying to look moderate; runs for the Senate against Kaine in 2018; wins.” – Eric Wiland

• “The new Christie appointment to run the Port Authority.” – Bob Guffin

• “Becomes head of a Koch Brothers funded think tank.” – Mary Elizabeth James-Thibodeaux

• “maybe he’ll apply for extended unemployment benefits. that’d be a kick.” – Trish Noll

• “Wall Street lobbyist, author, occasional Fox News contributor, and guest lecturer at small conservative college.” – Matt Welch

• “Who cares?” – Catherine Tumber
