Do you remember Monday? I have a vague sense that I was happier then, that fruit tasted sweeter, the sun slightly less punishing. It’s hard to tell, though, what happened two days ago and what happened last year. Things have begun to occur over impossibly long periods and also all at once. This is a problem when you are attempting to write a quick post about the week’s best reads.

We talked about neoliberalism and podcasts before Monday, of that I’m reasonably certain, though as the week wore on we talked about them more and more until it seemed those two words replaced all others. Neoliberalism. Podcast. You know that experience of staring at a word until it begins to seem as though you’ve made it up entirely? Podcast.

We have reached the end of language. Happy Friday.

This is not a podcast.

This also exists in a form that’s not podcasted.

Here you will find words to read, rather than listen to.
