• The newsreel archive British Pathé has now uploaded its entire collection of 85,000 historic films, in high resolution, to YouTube, here.

• Today is the first day of the National Rifle Association convention in Indianapolis. According to OpenSecrets.org, the NRA Political Victory Fund currently has $14.1 million in the bank. The only PACs that have more money than that are the DCCC and the NRCCC (which both have a lot more than that), and the Service Employees International Union.

• Quentin Tarantino’s copyright-infringement lawsuit against Gawker has been thrown out by a federal judge.
