Madeleine Watts is the author of the novels Elegy, Southwest and The Inland Sea (2021), the latter of which was shortlisted for the Miles Franklin Literary Award and the Glenda Adams Award for New Writing. Her work has been published by Harper’s, The Believer, and the Guardian, among others. Raised in Sydney, Australia, she currently lives in Berlin
