• Today in tech: after pressure from shareholder PETA, Tesla has introduced an all-vegan car with fake leather interiors (not to be confused with their standard cloth-interior cars, also vegan, but less “premium”), and Instagram wants to help you discover who your “real friends” are.

• Various media outlets are reporting that Sean Penn is in a snit after his walk-on role in the nation’s disastrous War on Drugs was overshadowed by the recapture of his Rolling Stone interview subject, the Mexican drug lord known as “El Chapo.”
