Daily Bafflements

• With pretty much all our congresspeople headed to the Hamptons this week, it’s a perfect time to claw back some leisure from the work-leisure conglomerate. Interested parties: apply by Aug. 12.)

• While you’re at it, why not while away your dwindling summer hours at your local Capital One 360™ bank & coffeehouse combo, where the American city-dweller’s favorite pastimes, financial services and conspicuous coffee swilling, finally converge? Free WiFi/checking!
