• It is the eve of a UK general election so neck-and-neck that it seems no party will gain an outright majority—again. We know how this plays out, from the booing and catcalls of the conservative Murdoch press, to the main parties’ commitment to just carrying on. So what’s new? Well, Labour’s Ed Miliband’s “Glinterview” with a beauty blogger, and his unlikely popularity with teenage girls. Will vengeful Murdoch put a stopper to this? So long as he hasn’t developed any qualms about his time-honored tradition of pursuing teenage girls with abandon, noted by Anne Elizabeth Moore in Baffler no. 24, which he hasn’t.
