Mother Jones calls yesterday’s Google bus protest “the most San Francisco thing ever,” and has some excellent pictures to back it up.

• From Prison Policy Initiative, a fascinating pie chart that breaks down where American’s approximately 2.4 million prisoners are incarcerated, and what types of crimes they’re in for. (Via @Prison_health.)

• Here’s Justin Peters’s take on Sunday’s lengthy Boston Globe story about how MIT handled the death of Aaron Swartz. Peters is currently writing a book about Swartz, who was a contributing editor of The Baffler.

• Today’s best sight gag: this is what it would look like if the Daily Mail’s headlines were replaced with user comments. Examples: “Terrible legs,” “NOBODY CARES.”
