• Today in Fearmongering: Ahead of Florida’s November vote on medical marijuana, an anti-legalization group, “No on 2,” tweeted this: “Will the new face of date rape look like a cookie?” In other news, Jeb Bush released a statement “strongly urg[ing]” Floridians to vote against Amendment 2.

• Los Angeles will move to renegotiate its whopping interest rate swap deals, City Council voted Wednesday. “The city has already paid more than $104 million in debt service tied to the interest rate swaps, and could pay in excess of $65 million more by 2028,” the Los Angeles Times reports.
