Erica Vital-Lazare is a professor of Creative Writing and 135 Marginalized Voices in Dystopian Literature at the College of Southern Nevada. She is the cohost of the podcast Black Mountain Radio, editor of McSweeney’s Of the Diaspora series, and cofounder of the Obodo Collective, a nonprofit dedicated to ending generational poverty in Las Vegas’s Historic Westside.
