Ed Simon


Ed Simon is Public Humanities Special Faculty in English at Carnegie Mellon University and the editor-in-chief of the forthcoming Pittsburgh Review of Books, as well as a staff writer for LitHub. His writing has appeared at The Atlantic, The Paris Review Daily, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, among several others. His most recent books include Devil’s Contract: The History of the Faustian Bargain, named one of the “Best Books of 2024” by The New Yorker.
