Deborah Epstein
Deborah Epstein has served as Professor of Law and Co-Director of Georgetown University Law Center’s Domestic Violence Clinic for more than twenty-five years. She has represented hundreds of women in civil protection order litigation; her writing and activism focus on improving the justice system’s response to women survivors of intimate abuse. Professor Epstein has conducted domestic violence trainings throughout the world for judges, prosecutors, police officers, legislators, civil lawyers, and non-legal advocates. Her previous collaborations with Lisa A. Goodman include Listening to Battered Women: A Survivor-Centered Approach to Advocacy, Mental Health, and Justice (APA Press 2008).
