• Today in Billionaires: Newt Gingrich has read the New York Times report about a plan by top GOP donors to all decide on a 2016 candidate early in order to avoid a costly billionaire v. billionaire brawl, and no sir, he does not like it. “If I were Mitt Romney, Chris Christie and Jeb Bush, I would be really irritated by that article,” Gingrich told Bloomberg. “The last thing they need to become is the pet candidate of billionaires. It’s a disastrously bad idea and it won’t happen.”

• Last week a judge in Florida temporarily suspended a Fort Lauderdale law against feeding homeless people. On the other side of that equation, the U.S. Supreme Court will soon hear arguments about a Worcester, Massachusetts law against begging.
