Julia Lans Nowak

is a writer based in Los Angeles, California. While her work is primarily in poetry and translation, she has also been researching and writing about the Nevada Nuclear Test Site since 2015. As a Polish-American from Las Vegas, raised fifty miles from the Test Site, she was drawn to the topic both by proximity and a Las Vegan’s ingrained, compulsory love of secrets, mysteries, and risk.
