Daily Bafflements

• As David Rees wrote last week, “We’re at the point where it seems like there’s nothing Trump hasn’t done—or wouldn’t do, or won’t soon do.” Of course, that was before Trump’s comments on “Second Amendment people” having ways and means to prevent Hillary Clinton from appointing her ideal Supreme Court justice. You know the type—they’re the ones fawning over Breitbart’s Milo Yiannopoulos. “Milo portrays his fellow boy masterminds as warriors who succumbed to a force greater than their own,” writes Oliver Lee Bateman. “But that’s a load of malarkey: they are just losers, and it’s time for them to get lost.”

• Behold, the newest meme: “plabe.”

• “Facebook is sometimes like the relative who thinks you still love horses because you were really into horses when you were 14 and keeps sending you birthday cards with horses on them.”
